Gulf Air on Monday announced seven additional flights between Dubai and Bahrain in its winter timetable which has been brought forward to start on September 10.
The new daily midday flight departs Bahrain at 2pm to Dubai, making a total of 63 flights per week, while an extra daily flight is also being added to Kuwait.
Gulf Air’s new pre-winter timetable includes more frequencies between Bahrain and key GCC, MENA and Asian destinations and upgraded fleet to certain destinations providing greater capacity.

The winter schedule includes three additional flights to Amman, four new frequencies to Beirut and five additional flights to Khartoum.
Additional seat capacity is also being put on the route to Cairo while flights to Indian subcontinent destinations Dhaka, Kathmandu, and Colombo have been increased by seven flights per week.
Gulf Air chief commercial officer Karim Makhlouf said: “Following the encouraging passenger growth we witnessed during the summer, we foresee the demand to continue through to the winter.
"Dubai particularly has seen excellent growth with high seat factors; therefore we have decided to add seven more frequencies for this route and bring forward our winter schedule that usually begins in late October to facilitate our customers with better and convenient travel options.”
Gulf Air said last month it has made significant savings across its business operations worth BD32.3m and is targeting a further 15 percent in cuts.
The airline's aggressive cost-saving plans and measures, started in 2010 following its new business strategy, has yielded positive results in terms of cost-control, cost-efficiency, expenditure reduction and staffing, it said in a statement.
Bahrain's national carrier said it is pushing forward with its cost-saving measures in 2012 and is targeting a further 15 percent reduction in its cost base for the full year.
