21 Mohammed H. Arkobi, VP and MD, Fairmont Raffles Hotels Int'l, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
With a team of 4000 employees, Mohammed Arkobi leads Fairmont Raffles Hotels International’s complex of three hotels in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, which as of this month, are now all fully open.
The luxury hotels, regarded as changing the face of hospitality in Makkah, comprise Raffles Makkah Palace, Makkah Clock Royal Tower —A Fairmont Hotel and the newly-opened Swissotel Makkah with 1562 rooms and suites alone.

A Saudi national, Arkobi is respected for promoting Saudisation within the industry and brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of revenue generation to the role he has held since 2007.
Arkobi continues to push the bar, seeking out new ways to proactively enhance the ‘green’ activities of the company’s operations, dedicating himself to advance the brand’s pioneering efforts on a sustainable tourism basis. He is also concentrating on further developing the FRHI Saudi Arabia Collection throughout Makkah, and across the Saudi market.
Previously, he was GM of the Madinah InterContinental Hotel and Dar Al Hijra InterContinental, making him one of the foremost authorities on operating Saudi hotels.

I am glad all the efforts came to those marvellous positive results on both fronts, business and human. This is a land mark team work in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Arkobi and his team did a marvellous job working at these hotels from day one. Congratulations for a deserved achievement.
