CatererGlobal revealed the winners of the UAE Best Employers in Hospitality 2012 awards last night at a stunning ceremony at Fort Island, Mina A' Salam in Dubai.
The biggest award of the evening for Best Hotel Group Employer in the UAE went to Marriott International, with a special mention for Marriott's Ritz-Carlton brand, and was based on the aggregate score of unit properties results.
Marriott beat off stiff competition for the title from Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt International, Rezidor Hotel Group, Millenium Copthorne Middle East and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
Voted for by the employees, comments about the winner included: “[it is] like heaven working for them,” and “[it is] the best place to work in hospitality”.

The Best Large Five-Star Hotel Employer in the UAE title was won by Le Meridien Dubai and Best Small Five Star Hotel Employer went to the Ritz-Carlton Dubai, with one nominator saying the hotel “lives and breathes the gold standard every day”.
In the Best Four Star Hotel Employer in the UAE category, the large-hotel award went to Hilton Al Ain, while the small hotel award went to Copthorne Dubai.
The rise of standalone restaurants saw CatererGlobal include a category for the Best Employer in the Restaurant Sector in the UAE, which was won by Cavalli Club Dubai.

Not surprised with the results. Shame that Starwood Hotels & Resorts never reach the top in respects to being the best employer. They talk so much about being Employee focused at the Corporate level, however at property level, it seems to be a different story. They just don't walk their talk! Co...
