The Caterer Middle East Awards 2013 nominations process has started and entries are being accepted via Survey Monkey.
There are 15 categories this year, following the split of Restaurant Team of the Year to recognise hotel managed outlets and independent outlets separately and the addition of a new category – Chief Steward of the Year.
In recognition of the growing sector that is casual dining and its popularity in the region, the team over at Caterer HQ also decided to introduce the new category Casual Dining Team of the Year.

Entry criteria has undergone a bit of a revamp too this year, with new role-specific questions and word counts to level the playing field among entrants.
“There’s been significant growth in this sector over the last year and I’m really looking forward to receiving a higher volume of entries, especially with the introduction of the new categories,” said Caterer Middle East’s editor Hannah Abdulla.
“In particular I’m hoping we will receive a greater number of entries from the broader MENA region and places like Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and KSA so we can get a good understanding of the F&B offering across the region and where it stands in comparison to the rest of the world,” she added.
