Celebrity Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor opened his second Options fine-dining outlet in Dubai last month.
This latest restaurant is located at the new five-star Mövenpick Hotel Deira, while the emirate’s first Options by Sanjeev Kapoor launched at Dubai World Trade Centre in 2006 and was recently voted The Best Asian Restaurant by readers of Masala magazine.
The 70-seat Options at Mövenpick Hotel Deira restaurant is located close the main hotel entrance and is decorated in a style the team refers to as “soothing bling” — all crystal chandeliers, mustard-coloured walls and red furnishings, while the live cooking stations animate the dining experience.
Also helping to propel the outlet into Hotelier’s top 10 is the fact it is one of a few restaurants in the emirate to employ a female executive chef.

The menu will feature handpicked dishes developed by Kapoor, including signatures such as Chandi Kaliya, Sham Savera, Kachhe Gost Ki Birani, Lalla Mussa Dal, Murgh Makhani, Subz Bahar and Methi Chaman.
In terms of pricing, Options CEO Sayeed Hussain says: “Through experience we know that value-for-money is of paramount importance when pricing our menus. We feel that an average meal for two people with a price tag of around AED 250 (around US $68) is acceptable to our target audience.”
