4. Hakkasan Doha, St. Regis Doha
Modern Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Hakkasan is continuing its GCC expansion with the launch of an outlet at The St. Regis Doha on January 16.
The restaurant brand, Michelin starred in the UK, has opened in Doha following the success of its Abu Dhabi outlet at Emirates Palace and Hakkasan Dubai at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
Designed by Woods Bagot UK, Hakkasan Doha features private valet service at its entrance set within the gardens of the St. Regis Doha.
The new 120-cover restaurant features a dramatic entrance through its iconic long corridor in slate stone and offers an additional capacity of 60 seats on its outside terrace.

The terrace features cascading wooden pavilions surrounded by greenery, creating a relaxed garden atmosphere for private gatherings as well as large parties. The restaurant will also feature a Ling-Ling Lounge, ideal for small intimate gatherings.
Head chef Lai Min Wei, formerly of Hakkasan Dubai, has overseen the creation and preparation of the Hakkasan menu. Hakkasan Doha will continue the tradition of including signature dishes found across its restaurants including peking duck with caviar, jasmine tea smoked wagyu beef ribs and grilled Chilean seabass with Chinese honey.
It will also offer a number of specially-designed dishes, including stir-fried duck with wing bean or Shanghai fried lamb tenderloin.
