ProChile, alongside eight chilean companies will be showcasing the country's halal produce at Gulfood 2013.
Eight Chilean companies have teamed up with ProChile to promote the country’s halal produce that has been certified by the Islamic Centre of Chile at a special showcase at Gulfood 2013.
In addition to the showcase, ProChile has organised a special networking event to be held on February 26 to promote the import and export of dried fruit and nuts from Chile to the UAE.
In 2012 Chilean dried fruit and nuts exports totalled AED 33 million (US $9 million), a figure that has gone up nine times in the last nine years.

“We hope this year our participation in Gulfood 2013 will help to position Chilean products in the UAE and other Middle Eastern markets as Chile has much to offer in terms of quality food and beverage," said ProChile director Carlos Salas.

Another Chilean company showcasing products is Unifrutti who will be launching a gourmet juice collection that comes from special ‘super fruits’ which are a natural source of Antioxidants and Polyphenols.
