Lebanon’s national carrier, Middle East Airlines, has signed an alliance with Golden Tulip Hotels, Suites & Resorts, incorporating the airline’s Cedar Miles program for guests.

Members can now earn miles for each stay at Golden Tulip’s properties including Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip hotels.

Middle East Airlines chairman and director general Mohamad El Hout said: “Today we are adding a new partner to the Cedar Miles program, and the importance of this cooperation lies in allowing members to increase their miles for every stay at any Golden Tulip property in various parts of the world.”

Golden Tulip Hotels, Suites and Resorts president, Amine Moukarzel added: “We would not be as successful in the MENA region without having Cedar Miles, especially with their alliance with Skyteam complementing and yet improving our presence with a major Arab carrier and international airline.”

“Middle East Airlines shall be the tip of the iceberg, especially with our strong presence in the region; as we are growing our portfolio we are also witnessing the growth of MEA with new destinations and additional frequencies,” he added.
