UAE home-grown brand, Table 9 at Hilton Dubai Creek, took home two awards at last night’s Caterer Middle East Awards.

The restaurant nabbed the coveted Restaurant Team of the Year - Hotel Award, while Viktorija Paplauskiene was declared Restaurant Manager of the Year.

Patron chef, Nick Alvis, was highly commended in the Head Chef of the Year category, which was won by Olivier Biles, head chef at Reflets par Pierre Gagnaire at InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

Alvis said: “We feel over the moon, absolutely gobsmacked. I can’t wait to take these awards back to team at the restaurant and remind them what they are capable of. We’ve only been open for 20 months now and we’re really happy with what we’ve achieved now. We still occasionally have the odd rough night at the restaurant, but that just encourages us to keep on top of our game and to keep on improving".
