Hilton Worldwide and IDeaS Revenue Solutions have signed an agreement to implement IDeaS’ G3 revenue management system across more than 2700 focused-service hotels within Hilton’s global portfolio.

The G3 RMS will be integrated with existing systems and will track and analyse historical and current business performance at Hilton properties.

The agreement is in line with the group’s Global Revenue Optimisation initiative, which is designed to help owners manage room availability and pricing in order to maximise each hotel’s revenue and profitability.

Hilton Worldwide global head, revenue management, online and regional marketing, Chris Silcock said: “Hilton Worldwide is committed to becoming the industry leader in revenue management. Through the G3 revenue management system and other cutting-edge analytics, we are taking the guesswork out of revenue management and pricing. And by helping our hotel operators and owners make better-informed revenue management decisions, we are positioning both our company and our franchisees for long-term financial success.”

The partnership agreement follows a year-long pilot program by IDeaS and Hilton Worldwide to study the impact of the system in a live hospitality environment.

IDeaS’ parent company SAS’ vice president of advanced analytics, R&D, Radhika Kulkarni said: “The teams at SAS and IDeaS have done a terrific job bringing a sophisticated but accessible pricing solution to the hospitality marketplace. Our most recent collaboration with IDeaS on G3 RMS takes the science of revenue management to new heights within hospitality and serves as a sign to the industry of exciting innovations to come from IDeaS and SAS.”

The G3 revenue management system is already used by a number of Hilton Worldwide brands including Hampton Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites, and complete deployment of the program at focused service properties is expected by 2014.
