Barasti Bar in Dubai is combatting the summer heat with portable evaporative cooling units that will chill the outlet’s middle deck bar and restaurant.
Using technology developed by Port-A-Cool, the venue is also running a Foster’s Super Cold campaign in a bid to chill and refresh visitors.
“We are delighted to be partnering with both Port-A-Cool and Foster’s Super Cold this summer to bring a truly unique experience to Barasti,” said Stewart Selbie, general manager, Mina Seyahi Complex.

“Being able to enjoy our outdoor venue before the weather cools down is something we are extremely excited about.”
The area will be cooled using a number of Port-A-Cool’s environmentally friendly 36 inch high-performance, variable speed portable evaporative cooling units.
Each unit utilises high-efficiency cooling pads and water to lower temperatures by up to 15 degrees celsius in a space as large as 250 square metres.
Part of the Foster’s Super Cold promotion includes a chance to win a trip for two to the ice hotel in Lapland with thousands of other prizes on offer.

I am really not so sure, if this is environmental friendly. It is using water (a lot is evaporated) and electricity... It is better than technologies with chemicals... But I still think that it shouldn't be really considered as environmentally friendly... Unless they have solar panels and use sea...
