Belgium outlet Maison Mathis has opened its first international location in the Middle East at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club.

From its origins in the USA and its focus on Belgian cuisine but with an international twist, Maison Mathis offers a varied menu and ahead of its opening, the team has been intensively trained by Belgian master chefs, coffee roasters, master bakers and cocktail experts.

Bread is the centre of the brand with the on-site bakery open from 7am each morning. It also features a lounge, an airy dining room with an open kitchen, and a terrace overlooking the ninth hole of the neighbouring golf course, with a shaded play area.

“There is tremendous demand for an informal, licensed destination in the Emirates dedicated to the love of food. Maison Mathis takes the foundations of classic Belgian cuisine – combining a traditional respect for pure, honest and fresh ingredients, with expert preparation and presentation – and adds a contemporary sensibility and relaxed environment to create a fantastic experience at any time of day and for those seeking an epicurean retreat,” said Maison Mathis master chef Maarten Van Essche.

Manager Derek Maloney said: “Maison Mathis’ menu, staff and service approach reflect the diversity found here in the UAE – using genuine quality ingredients available in the market to create something delicious and infused with our fundamental passion for food and good company.

Our location in Arabian Ranches was carefully selected as a little foodie get-away amidst the greenery for some of our clientele, while for our immediate neighbors, it’s a place to enjoy the sunshine on our terrace over a drink and grab some fresh bread on the way out."

Maison Mathis Arabian Ranches has a white-on-white interior, with a hand-laid tile floor in the Belgian tradition and several distinct areas with comfortable club chairs, intimate or larger seating options, and an open bar.
