The recently renovated Radisson Blu Kuwait hotel has revealed a new ‘take-away tray’ catering service which the property hopes will open up a whole new market of small scale event business.
Speaking exclusively to Hotelier Middle East executive chef David Harnois explained how the new service would hopefully increase the hotel’s potential revenues in the local market.
“We are about to launch a ‘take-away tray’ product that will allow the local community to use us as a way to cater for small parties and events very easily. Say someone is having a barbeque for a small group of friend, rather than going shopping, they can come to for a ready to go selection of BBQ items, including sides, salad, basically a complete kit for small functions.”

“This will hopefully become another revenue source that taps into a market which previously wasn’t worthwhile for us to include in our outside catering service,” he added.
The hotel is planning to eventually have a selection of 25 different trays available, with each one suitable for a particular event such as small BBQs, afternoon teas or children’s parties.
