When was your company established?
Omnix International was established back in 1987 with the vision of utilisng information technology to help our clients reach their business objectives. Today, Omnix International is a leading provider of technology enabled solutions in the MENA region.
What are your core products/services for the hospitality industry?
For over 25 years, Omnix has been serving the government and private sectors with our integrated IT solutions, with five major divisions addressing various market segments such as hospitality. Having been around for so long we are able to understand the needs of the market and make all of our solutions user focused. Unlike other suppliers, we aren’t overly product-centric but are instead more solutions focused, enabling us to continuously keep pace with changing trends and technology on the market.

What new products have you launched recently?
One of the areas that we are currently focused on is how to help our customers cope with the rapidly changing nature of modern technology. Modern IT solutions are becoming increasingly hardware dependent, which in turn is making it increasingly expensive for hotels to upgrade their technology and services. Omnix uses a range of ‘middle-ware’ software focused solutions, which moves services away from in-room hardware and technology to utilising the guest’s own mobile devices.
What other news is there from your company this year?
We recently installed a new interactive television system at the Atlantis The Palm hotel. This is a new open platform system that is no longer hardware dependent, as it is mainly software based and supplied inside a separate set top box, which will ensure that the hotel is no longer reliant on upgrading its hardware when its wants to upgrade its services.
