The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has welcomed the announcement that Air Arabia is to become  the emirate’s designated carrier operating services from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.

The agreement with the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Ras Al Khaimah, will see Air Arabia step into the void left by the collapse of RAK Airways, and operate services from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport to several destinations in the region.

Commenting on the agreement, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority CEO Steven Rice said: “The newly announced partnership between Air Arabia and Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Aviation will significantly increase the number of locations connected to Ras Al Khaimah Airport and becomes a very significant milestone in the growth of Ras al Khaimah's buoyant tourism sector."

“Air Arabia is well placed to become an excellent airline partner of Ras Al Khaimah. Its extensive network of destinations and value for money flights will reinforce Ras Al Khaimah’s growing reputation globally as a premier destination for affordable luxury holidays and enable us to develop existing and new feeder markets into the emirate,” he added.
