Philip Spence, 32, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and one charge of aggravated burglary following the attack of three sisters from the UAE who were attacked with a hammer at Cumberland Hotel, Marble Arch, London on April 6.
Spence is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on April 17.
The main victim has lost one eye and significant amounts of blood. Doctors have confirmed that she has been left with just 5% brain function but the rest of her organs are functioning normally.
One of the sisters is left with a broken arm and fractured skull and cheek bone. She will remain in hospital for some time.

The other sister sustained a skull fracture and a ruptured ear drum. She was released from hospital on April 8 but readmitted on April 9 due to severe head pains.
Two other men aged 33 and 56 were also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The 56-year old, Thomas Efremi, appeared in court with Spence, and was charged with handling stolen goods and fraud by false representation.
The third man, 33 year old James Moss, has been charged with handling stolen goods.
31-year old Carly Baker was also charged with handling stolen goods and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
The Emirati sisters, along with three children had come to London for shopping and sightseeing. They were attacked in the early hours of Sunday April 6 at the 1000-room Cumberland Hotel, near Europe’s busiest shopping street, Oxford Street.
