UAE's home-grown restaurant brand Chez Sushi has confirmed a franchisee deal, for Oman – partnering with Oman Holdings International Company, a business house in the Sultanate. This follows a master franchise agreement in Bahrain.
The arrangement comes as part of an aggressive and strategic expansion strategy by Chez Sushi’s co-founders, Raed Dabbous and Hiba Kosta, with the first Omani Chez Sushi branch set to open on The Wave development, in Muscat, by September 2014.
Dabbous said: "Since the announcement of our intention to grow the Chez Sushi concept into a franchise model, we have been meeting with many potential partners across the region, and internationally.
"Today, we are pleased to announce that through our relationship with Oman Holdings International Company, Chez Sushi is expanding into its third county in the Middle East.
"The core concept of Chez Sushi as an easy-order, high-quality Japanese restaurant that is tailored to individual preferences, makes it a brand that creates a strong returning customer base, and a menu that appeals to many palettes."

Chez Sushi currently has two operational outlets, in Dubai Marina and Wasl Square, and the highlights of the menu include its dishes of seared salmon tataki, crispy tempura rock shrimp, and chicken or beef bento boxes.
It also has a DIY option - ‘Roll Your Own’ - which allows diners to design their own freshly hand-made sushi roll by taste and flavour, from scratch.
