The Japengo Club has been launched at the Dubai Mall by Binhendi Enterprises, building on the success of the Japengo Café concept.

The first venue of the concept is located on the first floor of the Dubai Mall with a contemporary décor and an expansive terrace overlooking the fountains.

The menu, created by chef Omar Amirzai, reflects the flavours and produce from Japan, but draws on a range of regional Asian influences. There is also a sense of theatre from the teppanyaki grill which is in full view of the main restaurant, where dishes are prepared freshly to order.

Binhendi Enterprises president Mohi-Din Binhendi said: "We are delighted to introduce another new Binhendi hospitality concept, designed as a close relation of the Japengo Café, a venue that has enchanted the UAE community since 2000.

"The team has worked incredibly hard to deliver an outstanding brand promise and we are confident of an exceptional experience for each and every one of our diners."

He added: "The Dubai Mall is the ideal first venue in that it perfectly represents Japengo Club’s upscale, international character and we are excited to start our roll-out phase later this year."

Plates at the Club are designed to be shared, with highlights such as baba ghanoush with grilled beetroot, green asparagus and pumpkin, sea bass ceviche with lime, chilli and cilantro or a selection of high-grade sashimi.

Mains include slow-cooked turbot with lemongrass hollandaise and lamb chops marinated in ginger and garlic served with baby eggplant, with desserts such as the Japengo Club signature choco raspberry fondant.
