Italian-based fitness equipment manufacturer Technogym is to launch its Welcome Wellness approach, a series of training menus aimed at providing guests with a holistic fitness programme.
The company, which supplies gym equipment to Atlantis The Palm, has introduced a series of routines suited to a range of user needs, which is being showcased at The Hotel Show Dubai (September 28 – 30).
Its range includes programmes: ‘Start Moving’, ‘Condition and Tone’, ‘Lose Weight’, ‘Forever Young’ and ‘Help your Back’ and the menus are available for guests with training instructions, and for operators.
The operator menus suggest parts of the hotel, other than the gym, that can be incorporated into a wellness regime, such as F&B facilities and spa and swimming pool facilities, allowing hotels to customise their wellness offerings.

Simone Camposeranio, sales manager, home & hospitality, Technogym commented: “Our company launched [Welcome Wellness] to help operators create connections and engage the guest. This is a very interesting tool because it combines the end user needs not only to train in the gym but connected to the spa.
“Very often it happens that guests don’t know there’s a facility, don’t know there’s a gym or don’t know how to use it, or that related to the gym there are other services, the spa etc. So the aim of this is to offer a range of communication tools.”
The menus can be personalised with the hotel’s logo and key cards are also available with the Technogym visual to highlight a hotel’s focus on wellness.
At the Hotel Show the company is also demonstrating its cloud-based gym software, which offers a display on cycling and running machines allowing guests to log in through their smart phones to the ‘My Wellness’ app and access their own personal fitness plans on any Technogym equipment globally.
“Everyone wants to be connected, even while doing a workout so our latest technology is a wellness cloud basic technology and in this way guests can be always connected during the work out,” said Camposeranio.
The displays are also equipped with internet, TV entertainment services such YouTube, as well as Skype.
Technogym is at the Hotel Show Dubai, from September 28 – 30 in Hall 2, Dubai World Trade Centre.
