Lulu International Group’s F&B division, Tablez Food Company, has introduced a new dining concept, Galito’s, at Al Wahda Mall and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. The restaurant offers flame grilled chicken, using locally sourced produce, vegetables and ingredients, and three more new outlets are set to open in January 2015.
The opening event for Galito’s was attended by H.E. Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro, South African ambassador to the UAE, Yusuff Ali M.A., managing director of LuLu Group, Shafeena Yusuff Ali, CEO of Tablez Food Company and founders Louis Germishuys and Tane Bailey who travelled from South Africa to mark Galito’s entry in Middle East’s gastronomical market.
Expressing their feelings on the launch, founders Louis Germishuys and Tane Bailey said: “We have nurtured and grown Galito’s for the last 18 years since we launched it in 1996. Galito’s is our passion to offer authentic and traditional peri-peri dishes to the world.
"We are certain that with our partnership with Tablez Food Company, diners will be able to enjoy authentic and delectable Galito’s experience all across the Middle East, India and Sri Lanka.”

The flame grilled chicken at Galito’s uses only natural ingredients in its marinade and bastings, providing customers with ‘fresh made to order’ and unique per-peri Galito’s flavours meals. Each piece of chicken is marinated for at least 24 hours until it is moist and ready for the grill.

Galito’s is currently operational at two locations, Al Wahda Mall and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi and is scheduled to commence operations in Marina Mall and Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi and Naeem Mall, RAK later this month.
