LASVIT
Revolutionising bohemian glass

In the space of just seven years, Lasvit has made a global name for itself by creating chandeliers that are grandiose in size and value and manufactured on an ad-hoc basis for hotels.

In the Middle East, glass sculptures made by Lasvit are seen at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates Dubai, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Abu Dhabi, Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, Sofitel Dubai and Kempinski Burj Rafal Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Lasvit launched nine new collections at its Emotions Show in Milan, including a series of kinetic sculptures by the company’s in-house team. Inspired by nature, when water transforms to ice, Czech designer Maxim Vel?ovský, also Lasvit’s art director, created a series of hanging glass lamps called Frozen, which were created by pouring molten glass over a dome-shaped mould and left to cool.

Lasvit’s aim is to modernise the “material made from matter” by experimenting with techniques, from complex mouth blowing to moulding, tested in every way possible. The process is impeccable and no errors are allowed. Once the massive chandeliers have been fashioned in the factory, all their pieces are carefully tested, assembled, dismantled and packaged one-by-one for travel.

Lasvit projects span the globe from London, Paris and Prague, to international cities including Moscow, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore. Projects vary from glass sculptures for private residences, to large-scale installations for luxury boutiques and hotels. The company has 12 international offices in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North and South America.
