The first branch of French bistro Café Rouge outside the UK has opened at Souk Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Established more than 25 years ago in London, Café Rouge has since expanded to more than 100 outlets across the UK, showcasing classic French flavours.
The first branch in the UAE is the result of a partnership between Tragus Group and Diamond Lifestyle Limited, the hospitality company managed by Al Masah Capital.
James Spragg, managing director, Café Rouge & Belgo, Tragus Group, said: “We are excited to be launching the very first international Café Rouge, in one of the world’s most thriving, cosmopolitan hubs.
“Since we opened our first restaurant in 1989, the brand has been a firm favourite with British customers and we are confident that our first restaurant in Dubai will be the start of an exciting new chapter in the Café Rouge story.”

Dishes served at the new outlet include signature French snacks such as croques and baguettes, as well as more substantial options such as steak frites and grilled salmon.
It also offers an extensive drinks menu, featuring a wide selection of French grape, and among the features of the Madinat venue are an expansive outdoor terrace and weekly jazz nights.
Amitava Ghosal, partner, Al Masah Capital, added: “The team at Al Masah Capital are consistently working towards making Diamond Lifestyle Limited one of the leading hospitality companies in the region.
“Adding Café Rouge to our portfolio really strengths our position to reach this goal. As the brand is a favourite amongst UAE residents travelling to the UK over the summer, we expect it to do exceptionally well in Dubai.”
