Jumeirah Restaurant Group Dubai (JRG Dubai) will launch a new home-grown restaurant brand in Dubai in Q4, 2015, which will be located at Souk Madinat Jumeirah on the site currently occupied by Rivington Bar and Grill.
The second outlet of the British restaurant in Dubai will close at midnight on Friday, 17 April, 2015 ahead of the significant renovation project.
When contacted by Caterer Middle East, JRG Dubai declined to comment on any details about the new brand.
As of now, head chef Scott Stokes will continue to oversee the kitchen at Rivington Grill Souk Al Bahar. However, a spokesperson said: "General manager Dean Murphy and head chef Scott Stokes will continue to work within the Jumeirah Restaurant Group Dubai portfolio of restaurants. They will play a key role in the development of our new restaurant brand at Souk Madinat Jumeirah."

On April 17, Rivington Bar and Grill will hold a closing party featuring dishes from the Rivi à la carte menu available while stocks last. It will be priced at AED 250 per person, and with a ‘Reduced to Clear’ beverage list.
The Rivington Grill Souk Al Bahar restaurant in Dubai Downtown will continue to operate as usual.
The group chose not to comment on why Rivington Bar and Grill was chosen to be replaced with the new home-grown brand, instead saying it is "focused on developing successful home grown concepts".
Jumeirah Restaurant Group Dubai managing director Russell Scott said in a statement: “Rivington Grill has established a fantastic reputation for food, service and quality in Dubai, and we are proud to have managed this restaurant at Souk Madinat Jumeirah for the past five years. I would like to personally thank all our loyal patrons and look forward to welcoming them back to our new restaurant later this year.”
