Dur Hospitality has created a brand of spiritual hotels called Makarem, which are designed to help travellers to KSA take full advantage of their time in the holy cities.
Whether travellers to the Kingdom are coming to complete hajj or omrah, or merely there on business or visiting family, Makarem is a brand that will help them not just fulfilling their needs as hotel guests, but also as spiritual travellers.
Makarem will offer guests a new customer experience service called My Journey, which takes spiritual pilgrims through all the steps they need to complete before their pilgrimage, from the moment they make the spiritual decision to go on hajj through to returning home and sharing the experience with friends and family.
Dr. Badr Al Badr, Dur Hospitality's CEO said: “It is our responsibility as a Saudi brand to lead the hospitality benchmark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with the best international standards.
"The rebranding of Makarem came as a result of the new strategic vision of its mother company, Dur Hospitality, that announced that we will invest SR1.5 billion ($400 million) in developing hotels and luxury residential complexes, to achieve a planned portfolio of 20 hotels and six residential properties in the next seven years throughout the Kingdom, out of which SR600 million will be dedicated to launch hotels in Makkah and Madinah to be operated by Makarem, our spiritual hotel brand dedicated to serve the Holy Cities.“
