Green Hope UAE along with Icons Coffee Couture and Panache International participated in iftar giveaways at the Tadweer waste management plant.
The group handed out around 255 Iftar food packets to the labourers, with active participation by 50 members from Green Hope UAE along with Elena Weber, the founder of the Icons Coffee Couture café chain and Panache International representatives.
A yearly project hosted by Green Hope UAE, Kehkashan, the global coordinator of children and youth, UNEP MGFC and founder president of Green Hope UAE,said: "Recycling is a key component of our sustainable consumption campaigns and our efforts are aided all year round by Tadweer, UAE’s premier waste recycling company. We have made this gesture as a token of our appreciation towards them."
"The iftar handout evening organised by Green Hope UAE was certainly a delight to participate in. The great enthusiasm that the volunteers brought along with themselves certainly encourages us all to do more for our society and give back to those who help make our society a better, greener place to be, like the labourers at Tadweer waste management plant. I am looking forward to many such initiatives that will promote wellness and sustainability in this season and beyond, because that is all what ICONS is about," said Weber.
Vishaal S Shah, the CEO of Panache International, a biodegradable disposables company, said: “Kudos to Green Hope UAE, to have organised this campaign for the laborers and workers of Tadweer Plant. We are very pleased to be a part of this campaign, and give back to the society this Ramadan."
