M Management Company has launched Mythos Kouzina & Grill in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, with a menu created by head chef Ilias Kokoroskos, who is also head chef of Greek restaurant Elia.
"Not everyone can afford to hop on a plane and explore all that the Greek islands have to offer, so we'll be bringing them to you," said M Management Company director of operations Carlo Javakhia.
The restaurant has been designed in the style of a taverna, and the owners believe that guests will feel like they are in someone's home in an island in Greece.
With arches at the entry, stone walls made in the traditional Cyclades islands way, powdered stone finishings from the North of Greece, handmade tiles from Crete as the flooring, rush-seat taverna stools and chairs, Cylcadic sofas, and large rustic marble top tables, the restaurant also has an outdoor terrace.

The menu will reflect the Greek taverna vibe, with traditional meze including tzatziki (a yoghurt dip with dill, cucumber, and garlic), and tyrokafteri (a spicy feta cheese dip for sharing).
Mains will range from biftekia (Greek-style bun-less burgers), chicken soulvaki, and gyros wrapped in Greek pita.
Greek desserts will also be available, ranging from galaktoboureko (filo pastry and custard), loukoumades (sweet dumplings with Greek honey and walnuts).
Kokoroskos said: "This is Greek comfort food in its purest and most delicious form, with the aim to prove that casual food can be extraordinary."
