Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will be the keynote appearance at the Caterer Middle East Chef & Ingredients Forum on October 6, 2015.

The conference is set to take place at Grosvenor House on October 6, and is set to welcome more than 100 culinary professionals, including executive chefs, chef de cuisines, head chefs, pastry chefs, sous chefs and more.

Vongerichten, who was the Caterer Middle East September 2015 cover star, will give an exclusive interview live on stage at the close of the conference.

The chef began his training in a work-study program at Auberge de l'Ill as an apprentice to chef Paul Haeberlin, then went on to work under Paul Bocuse and master vhef Louis Outhier at L'Oasis in southern France. He then travelled to Asia and continued his training at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, the Meridien Hotel in Singapore and the Mandarin Hotel in Hong Kong.

During this time, Vongerichten developed his love for the flavours of the East, which reflects in his signature dishes.

An author of many cookbooks, Vongerichten also gets involved in every aspect of his restaurants – concept, menu, architectural design, staff selection and trainings.

He has now joined the UAE culinary scene with the opening of JG Dining Room and JG Kitchen, located at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai, at Jumeirah Beach.
