BouBouffe, the ‘Lebanese Brasserie’ that serves authentic Lebanese food has opened at the Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi.

The brasserie, which was founded 40 years ago, has made its first international move with its new outlet on the Yas Island.

BouBouffe is built around using fresh local ingredients and packs in the influences of the French culture on the Achrafieh district of Beirut. The word BouBouffe originates from the French word ‘bouffe’ meaning ‘food’.

The restaurant first began serving shawarma, manakeesh and French-style steak with handcut French fries. Following the success of this intimate menu, a full-fledged menu was developed offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serving authentic Lebanese dishes as well as international specialties.

In the summer of 2013, the founder Michel Aramouni decided to change the pace. The Lebanese Brasserie relocated to a trendy, casual dining venue with an open-air terrace while still retaining its authentic identity and offering its highly regarded specialties.

In 2015, after 39 years of success in the Lebanese market, Michel decided, along with his partners Ralph Nader and Galal Mahmoud, to venture outside the country and share the taste with the rest of the world.

Choosing the United Arab Emirates as their first international venture, a master franchise agreement was signed in early 2015 between BouBouffe International and Addmind, the management group behind the renowned White and Iris.
