Ramada Ajman retains its lead in the Northern Emirates with 92% occupancy in 2015.
Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman achieved an average occupancy of 92% for the year 2015 and surpassing its 2014 figures of 89%.
The 388-key, four-star property saw high occupancy throughout the year, averaging as much as 90% even during the summer season.
The hotel’s RevPAR also increased by 7% when compared to data from 2014, and the property sold a total of 129,000 room nights in 2015, surpassing the 2014’s record of 125,000.
Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman general manager Iftikhar Hamdani, said: “New segments and markets have been signed to attract more tourist arrivals in Ajman and we are diligently working hand-in-hand with Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) to boost tourism in our emirate.”

The hotel attracted 150 nationalities for the year 2015, with the Indian market accounting for the largest share at 14%, and followed by Russians, Pakistanis and UAE nationals, each with 8% of the share.
Hamdani adds, “We aim to maintain the arrivals from Indian and Pakistani markets through additional road shows and visits, as these can generate significant impacts on how we’ll fare in 2016.”
On Ajman’s position as a tourist destination with growing popularity, Hamdani said: “New hotels and property developments have been announced and we are all excited to see added attractions in the emirate.
The competition will be tougher for the hospitality players but we welcome this as an opportunity to improve our products and offers and reinforce our sales strategies.”
