Starwood Hotels has a appointed a new director of food and beverage for Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME).
The position has gone to Stefan Breg, who will be based in Starwood’s Middle East office in Dubai.
Breg brings over 25 years of experience to the new position at Starwood.

His previous roles included head of concept development for IHG Asia & Middle East, as well as senior roles at Hilton and Ernest & Young. Breg is also known as a visiting professor at Emirates Academy in Dubai for five years.
Starwood Hotels VP of operations EAME Flavio Buccarelli commented on the new appointment: “Stefan has a wealth of experience and we are delighted to have him on board to lead our food and beverage strategy across the division.
“The role is crucial to ensure our food and beverage brands and concepts within our existing and upcoming properties are positioned as destinations in their own right; compelling and relevant to the local guests as well as our hotel guests.”
Breg’s responsibilities in this new role will be to oversee restaurant and bar concepts at 345 Starwood properties, which includes renovated and new hotels, across ten different Starwood brands.
Across the EAME region, Starwood currently operates almost 1,200 restaurants and bars within 260 hotels, with over 300 F&B outlets in the Middle East alone.
