According to a study conducted last year by Strategy&, one in three tourtists in the GCC visit the region on business despite only 2% of global exhibitions taking place in the Middle East.

The news comes ahead of the fourth annual MICE Arabia Congress, which takes place from March 1-2 2016 at the Palazzo Versace, Dubai.

The event will explore trends and challenges in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) market in the GCC, which has has grown rapidly.

This is particularly true for Dubai. which in 2015 held nearly a 27% market share of the US $1.3 billion MICE market in the GCC.
