As part of the 63rd annual Les Clefs d’Or UICH International Congress, one Dubai-based concierge has been crowned “UAE Concierge of the Year 2015” by the organisation.
The award went to Harsha Mannapperuma, who is concierge at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai.
Mannapperuma was selected as the winner out of 147 nominees from 49 participating Dubai-based hotels.
The award was presented to Mannapperuma as part of the congress' closing ceremony, which took place at Atlantis, The Palm this week.
Commenting on the event, Dubai Tourism executive director - corporate support division Ibrahim Yaqoot said: “The value of an exceptional concierge is something we prize greatly, and we congratulate both Harsha and all the other winners tonight for being shining examples of the great hospitality offered to visitors in Dubai.”
