Emaar Hospitality Group has revealed plans for a new restaurant, set to open in collaboration with Maximal Concepts in the Downtown Dubai area.
The new venue, Brickhouse, will focus on Mexican street food, inspired primarily by the Mexico City scene. Originally opened in Hong Kong, Dubai’s branch of Brickhouse will be located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, next to the Manzil Downtown Dubai hotel.
The original Brickhouse restaurant is headed up by executive chef Justin Haefler, and has won several awards, including being named best restaurant for four consecutive years, from 2013-2016, by Tatler Magazine.
Brickhouse will offer indoor and outdoor seating. According to a statement by Emaar, the restaurant will invite local street artists to cover the interior walls of the venue.
Emaar Hospitality Group corporate director of operations Chris Newman commented: “With over 40 restaurants already in our portfolio, launching Brickhouse in Dubai marks a new step in our expansion plans.
“Our objective is to introduce an eclectic yet exciting concept that combines homemade authentic food that appeals to the city’s passionate food-lovers with a design-focused interior. Brickhouse aims to be a local eatery involved with the community and part of Dubai life and artistic scene.”
