Jones the grocer is set to open its first airport outlet next year, in partnership with HMSHost International.

The new store is expected to open by the end of 2017 at Abu Dhabi’s International Airport, which sees 45 million people pass through per year. 

HMSHost International has F&B operations in 18 European airports and a further 21 airports across the Middle East, Asia and the pacific.

Jones the grocer CEO Yunib Siddiqui said: “There are only a handful of operators who work within the transit hub business and HMSHost International are the ideal partner for us because they bring a lot to the table.

"We believe that this partnership will enable us to reconfigure our existing product offering to suit the airport consumer which we couldn’t do without the knowledge and insight that HMSHost International possesses.”

CEO of HMSHost International Walter Seib added: “The affiliation with jones the grocer enables us to provide a unique and dynamic experience for guests at the new Midfield Airport Terminal.

"This Australian-born gourmet café and grocer features specialist ingredients, artisan suppliers and an onsite bakery and patisserie all of which will be unique to the typical airport experience.”
