Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre has appointed a new executive chef to be in charge of its 18 restaurant and bars, and its 24 banqueting and events facilities.

Ramon Salto Alvarez, who is from Barcelona, made his culinary debut with a two Michelin-starred restaurant 20 years ago in France.

He has extensive international culinary experience, having worked in France, Spain, the US, the UK, Kuwait, Qatar, India and now Dubai. 

In his new tole, Salto oversees a brigade of over 250 chefs and 70 stewards.
