All of the products Nisbets is exhibiting at The Hotel Show are its own brands, exclusively available through the company.
UK-based catering equipment and catering supplies company Nisbets Export has appointed a regional distributor for the GCC.
Conrad Whiteley, export sales manager, Nisbets Export, told Hotelier Middle East during day one of The Hotel Show: “We’re in the process of appointing a regional distributor within the next month for the GCC. It will be a master distributor and the big news, from our perspective, is we want them to be a stocking distributor and our investment into the partnership will be putting stock into the region. That is key for us because items – certainly the day-to-day ones – have to be in the region."
He did not disclose the name of the company that Nisbets will be working with, but commented: "I think with the right partner – which we are very confident that we’ve got – with the stock in the region, we will be in a very strong position to develop the business.”
Asked about the product lines that Nisbet is exhibiting at The Hotel Show, Whiteley said the company is showcasing its own brands, which are exclusive to Nisbets, and also noted a growing demand from clients for more rustic and casual lines.
He added that this trend is prevalent “even in the likes of the five-star hotels” which are increasingly offering casual dining options, and stated that this trend has grown in relation to the “three-star market” in the region, since this tier of hotels tends to require casual tableware.
The Hotel Show is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 17-19, 2016.
