Tell us a bit about your strategy for the GCC and Middle East?
We were present in Dubai for decades through agencies offering our services that IHS is famous for. We are now excited to be here with our own team. We want to market everything they need: be it immediate service, customer service and direct sales.
What countries will you be serving?
This is our fourth regional office worldwide. We are looking at Saudi Arabia and the surrounding countries, all the way up to Africa, along with a strong local coverage.
Does quality go hand-in-hand with the mid-scale hotels?
We have a theory that three- and four-star hotels can have the same equipment as five-star hotels, for which we have redesigned our packages and rolled those out.
What is your latest launch?
As global in-room dining (IRD) specialists, our design progression into the world of trays was inevitable. This year, our IRD range welcomed the new release Smart Tray to complete the IHS in-room dining housing and service system — a tray that heralds a new era in tray service with style options and durable technology. We are also big on technology and I am very happy with our new battery operated launches.
