Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has started expansion work on Al Montazah Waterpark, reports Arabian Business.
Under the development plan, new water rides will be added to the waterpark, which is expected to see 3,000 visitors daily, while the amusement facility will host 5,000 guests every day.
“The new facility will see a shift in the quality of services we deliver. Our main aim is to significantly enhance visitor ease, accessibility and safety, especially for our young guests, who we consider our most valued customers,” said Al Montazah manager Khalid Ibrahim Al Qaseer.

According to the Shurooq website, the Al Jazeera Park was renovated and transformed into a 126,000-square metre Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park, opening in 2014.
Al Qaseer said the park will will reopen in summer 2017.
