The Hotelier Express Middle East Three-Star Hotel Team of the Year category was taken by Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai, making it the second award of the night for Citymax Hotels.
Sponsored by Aramtec, the award was presented to the team by Armel van Erck the sales and marketing manager - foodservice.
The judges decision was unanimous as the hotel has achieved an increase in positive customer reviews and ratings, along with an increase in revenue of rooms and F&B over the last 12 months. Employee satisfaction at this property is at an all-time high, and the teamwork has led to winning a number of awards – including a Guinness World Record.
Commenting on the win, Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai's general manager Satish Nambiar said: " The secret to our success is the team, it's getting the right people into the job and people doing what they're supposed to do."
On why they won, Nambiar said: "We stood our because we're good. We love to push the bar and a lot of the credit goes to our CEO Russel Sharppe and to take it to the next level. And that's the kind of push we want."
"There is no shortcut to success, hardwork, smartwork and teamwork is what young hoteliers need to learn," he added. "Mid-market hotels is the future. It's here to stay."

Highly commended was Comfort Inn Hotel Dubai.
