The Pink Bite marks its return this year, supporting the Pink Caravan theme of "7 Years...for 7 Emirates" by bringing together seven chefs across seven food stations.

Set to take place on March 14, at Le Gourmet, Galeries Lafayette at The Dubai Mall, the event last year raised nearly US $14,000 with its pink shawarmas, with its 2015 outing seeing a burger auctioned off for $7,000.

Russell Impiazzi, culinary director, food and beverage at Galeries Lafayette, Lafayette Gourmet told Caterer Middle East: "It's a nice event, and I am hoping this year to beat previous years' donations."

Impiazzi added: "We will have seven chefs on seven food stations who will be teamed up with some of the Pink Caravan ambassadors as well."

The seven chefs include: Impiazzi; Robbie Stokes from IMG Worlds of Adevnture; Reif Othman from Play Restaurant & Lounge; Colin Clague from Ruya; Mohamed Orfali from Fatafeat TV; Tomas Reger; and Izu Ani from The Lighthouse.
