Set in City Walk 2, The Victorian Café & Restaurant is inspired by the eponymous era in British history and pays tribute to the grandeur associated with the period.
Afternoon tea, main courses like crispy skin seabass, wagyu rib eye, lamb loin and a wide selection of sandwiches and healthy salads feature on the menu. Dessert options include treacle tart, orange and lemon Victorian sponge and Victoria’s Eton mess.
The restaurant, which was conceptualised by Restaurant Secrets Inc., a F&B consultancy firm and is owned by Said Mashhud, comprises 90 covers indoors and on its outdoor terrace.
Mashhud said in a statement: “When I thought of investing in the F&B industry, my dream was to create a restaurant where guests are promised a grand experience that is indulgent and unique. The Victorian sets new standards of service in the UAE, based on timeless customs and etiquette. Our mission is simple; serve delicious food that guests will want to return to week after week, and do it in a setting that takes them on an exceptional experience. The Victorian is a place where ladies and gentlemen are served by ladies and gentlemen.”
Speaking about the new venture Restaurant Secrets Inc. CEO Ralph Homer said: “When Said Mashhud shared his vision of owning an elegant restaurant, we immediately knew that we had to create a space that pays tribute to one of the most elegant times in history. The Victorian era was a period of enormous prosperity when Britain reached its peak in economic, political, diplomatic and cultural power. Naturally a space that pays tribute to this time in history must be full of poise and finesse. This is reflected in every detail of the café, the signature menu items and the elegant food presentation.”
