Speaking to Hotelier Middle East on the first day of the Arabian Travel Market, Wyndham Dubai Marina and Tryp by Wyndham Dubai cluster general manager Rogier M. Hurkmans revealed that Tryp by Wyndham will open at the end of August 2017.
The property which will be the biggest Tryp hotel in the world is projected to open this summer according to Hurkmans who also spoke about the introduction of a workspace aimed at freelancers and entrepreneurs. Instead of traditional meeting rooms, The Nest will cater to digital nomads, providing a fully equipped work space that can be rented by the hour, week, or month.
Hurkmans said: “The turned our meeting space into a co-working space where start-ups can come and work form the hotel. The space will be open to hotel guests but also to residents and local people. They can pay per hour, beverages are included, we make sure that the Wi-Fi is the best, we have pods there, we have video conference facilities and we have meeting rooms. Everything will be there are we’re looking at opening it 24/7 — let’s see what the demand will be.”
Speaking about the property’s delayed opening, Hurkmans added: “We looked at the project and came up with some better ideas for the food and beverage. We made some changes in the outlet concepts which took some time to discuss so that was the main reason.”
