After months of speculation, Caterer Middle East can confirm that the space previously occupied by La Luz in Dubai’s DIFC will be home to a new concept by restaurateur, Nastasha Sideris.
Speaking to Caterer Middle East about the upcoming project Sideris said: “It’s an unbelievable location and what we’re hoping to bring to DIFC is something a lot more casual. You’ll be able to come and have breakfast in DIFC and you can have a lunch meeting with a really nice salad. It’s going to be a lot more Mediterranean in its influence. It’s really relaxed and it’s licensed.”
No stranger to the UAE’s dining scene, Sideris, who founded Tasha’s in South Africa 12 years ago, has two branches of the classic café concept in the UAE.
Yet to be named, the upcoming DIFC project will mark Sideris’ second ‘by Tashas concept store in Dubai. The first, Flamingo Room by Tashas, is set to open at Jumeirah Al Naseem in September.
