Leading Middle East travel company Kanoo Travel has announced the expansion of its Qatar operations with the opening of a new office at Ras Laffan Industrial City, and a new state-of-the-art corporate services centre in Doha.
Qatar has been experiencing an economic and developmental boom in recent years, witnessing a rise in corporate travel that Kanoo are keen to exploit despite the current global economic downturn.
“We’re now at the stage [in Qatar] where we’re ready to move up a gear to service the market there,” stated Kanoo general divisional manager Julian Knott.

“We’re lucky that we are large enough to have the means to do this and maintain our strategy despite the current climate; we’re sensible with our investment of course, but it’s our view that this is a strong enough strategy to continue with.”
Knott also revealed there were plans to ramp up the leisure offering in Qatar as well.
“We’re not at the point where I would go into details but it’s definitely part of the strategy,” he said. “As our presence in Qatar evolves we’ll look at how to present it and then that will be the next step.”
