SalamAir, Oman’s first budget airlines, is adding two new routes to Baku, Azerbaijan and Tbilisi, Georgia.

From June 14, the arlines will operate three weekly flights to Tbilsi and two weekly flights to Baku and will cost OMR 106 (AED 1,011) and OMR 121 (AED 1,154) respectively. The flights will, however, operate in the new routes till September 4, 2018.

SalamAir CEO captain Mohamed Ahmed said in a statement: “The Eid holidays is a time for celebration and during this period there is generally a surge in travel to the Caucasia region.”

The flights, Ahmed added, will also give residents of the two Eastern European countries direct access to Oman as well increasing the number of inbound tourists.

Currently, including the two new destinations, SalamAir operates in 14 different destinations with the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
