The Italian Trade Agency's (ITA) pavilion at The Hotel Show Dubai 2018 is showcasing hospitality-related products form eight different Italian companies for the first time in the UAE.

The ITA is the government agency which promotes the globalisation of Italian firms, under the aegis of the Ministry of Economic Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ITA helps to develop, facilitate and promote Italian economic and trade relations with foreign countries, focusing on the needs of SMEs, their associations and partnerships according to Gianpaolo Bruno, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan.

“From hand-finished furniture to customised lighting technology, the eight Italian companies that we are working with during The Hotel Show Dubai are offering something different to the region’s hospitality industry,” said Bruno.

“The hospitality industry across the GCC is expected to be valued at over US $32 billion by 2022 thanks to events such as the Expo 2020 Dubai that is swiftly approaching. The companies we are partnering with understand the lucrative potential that is on offer following the success of Expo Milano 2015 and the opportunities that are available to them in the UAE and the wider region in the near future,” Bruno added.

On display during The Hotel Show are products from luxury, handmade furnishings including designs by 3P Plast, which produces Italian-designed chairs for hotels, offices and waiting rooms; Ciulli Antonio e Figlio (Antonio Ciulli & Son), which is divided into two brands, Ciulli 1902, offering interior lighting, home and complementary furnishings, and Calydia for bathroom accessories.
