Online news agency news.com.au has reported that online booking agency HotelQuckly has “suddenly cancelled all its reservations without refunding the money.” The booking agency was listed as a booking option on TripAdvisor and Trivago, and boasts it has connections with more than 265,000 hotels worldwide, according to the report.

The report went on to say that HotelQuickly has “suddenly reneged on thousands of bookings, and despite customers already having paid in full, it’s refusing refunds except in the form of credit vouchers.” Customers, numbering in their thousands, were made aware of the cancellations via email. The agency also posted a statement on its social media page, stating that unforeseen issues with the agency’s main hotel supplier were to blame for the cancellation.

Speaking to the UK’s Independent, one customer Les Davis was reported as saying: It looks as if HotelQuickly are either conning, defrauding or going bankrupt.”
