Kraft Cheese last week launched its Kraft Active Walk Your Way to Better Health Challenge, geared towards encouraging the Middle East population to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
The food and beverage supplier has given pedometers to 100 men and women to record how many steps they take each day, and plans to use the figures collected to create a ‘Step Index’ as a benchmark for others.
The challenge is being held in conjunction with the launch of the new Kraft Cream Cheese Spread Active, a spread which contains “20% more protein and 20% less fat” than the original.

Ahmed Yahya, Kraft Foods Middle East and Africa marketing director — GCC, commented: “Families are today more aware of the need to care for their overall well being and vitality and they are also increasingly savvy about the ways in which to enhance their wellness.
“This is seeing a more conscious shift towards opting for more balanced diets and healthier lifestyles.
“Kraft Cream Cheese Spread Active, which maintains the same great taste of the original cheese spread but offers more balanced nutritional value, is a great way for parents to instill in their children an overall positive attitude towards health and wellness.”
