Dubai-based coffee roaster Coffee Planet has continued its expansion across the region, announcing it would take over all coffee solutions across The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina’s 13 outlets.
The deal will involve Coffee Planet fully refurbishing the property’s existing coffee equipment, as well as conducting barista training with staff at the resort.
Coffee Planet business development director Robert Jones commented: “We are very proud to be aligned with The Westin, to ensure it maintains its five-star quality with the best premium arabica coffee being served to its guests.

“We always work very closely with our hotel clients — so much so we almost become part of the team.
“We are also expanding throughout the region via franchises and we are encouraging our franchisees to develop the foodservice market in their respective territories, to improve our brand presence in their markets and drive volume through their businesses,” he added.
The coffee roaster confirmed it would also be playing its part in November’s Specialty Coffee and Tea Convention, the first event of its kind to take place in the Middle East.
“This is hugely important and shines a light on us, as we are exactly what the show is about — in fact the person who came up with the idea of bringing this show to Dubai used to work for us, which is what gave her the inspiration,” claimed Jones.
