Qatar Airways will expand the number of flights between Doha and Zurich, Switzerland, with an extra weekly flight beginning October 25.
The extra service is being laid on to cater to both Swiss travellers using Doha as a hub for reaching the Maldives, the Seychelles, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Ho-Chi-Minh City, and Middle Eastern passengers in search of Zurich’s tourism and commercial offerings, claimed the Qatari carrier.
“Qatar Airways has enjoyed five years of success in Switzerland. We are pleased to be able to reinforce our commitment to this important European market through adding capacity and offering our passengers more choice and flexibility on the Zurich route,” said Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker.

The addition follows the recent announcements of additional flights between Doha and Paris, Madrid, Athens and Stockholm. It will be serviced by an Airbus A330, in a two-class cabin configuration.
The airline is also set to introduce new routes to Amritsar, Goa, Melbourne and Sydney by the end of the year.
